More freehand with tablet.

More tablet fun with the Righteous Sisters

Drawing with tablet. Not as easy as it first seemed and those points sure wear off fast! But here's the Righteous Sister for y'all anyway.

The whole truth about Robert Johnson!

An oldie. Brush and photoshop grays. This actually got published on the Falgpole, the free paper of beautiful Athens, Georgia, back in the times when I was living behind the magnolia curtain. I never drew the story about Gene Vincent, but I might sometime...

BURP REVUE ad by Pogo-Nikt

An e-flyer advertising an event organized by Burp Enterprise. Drawn by the mighty Mat Pogo and myself (but Pogo did most of the work) a couple of winters ago in sunny Berlin. Nicotina King of Casuals is yours truly. Check some more of Pogo's art here: http://pasarancomix.tumblr.com/

The Legs perform Casual 4 in Providence RI

That's what I've been doing instead of drawing comics. Honky tonkin' with a bunch of questionable characters. Great musicians, though. Nikt on guitar, Chris on Bass, Matt on drums. We perform an old composition of mine called Casual 4.

Anf!

No drawings in a while. I've been busy with work and music. Soon something on my Providence RI frolics. For now a nice pagan priest with artichoke on his head.

Mercato Centrale 1

These are a few strips I drew for the "Mercato Centrale" album by the Burp Enterprise band Jealousy Party. The album was supposed to come with a booklet containing a collective story drawn by the Burp collective, but the project was shelved. I drew about four strips, here are the first 2. The album "Mercato Centrale" is still coming out soon though! For more info check the Jealousy Party page on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/JEALOUSY-PARTY/103984493033225
or the Burp Publications site in the link section on the right. The Mercato centrale in the second strip is indeed the one in the center of Florence in Italy, a cool place to buy vegetables, drink Aperol for breakfast, and look at entrails of various slain animals.

Eugene Chadbourne Sushi

Wow! This is old stuff folks! I drew this in 1997 while living in sweet Charlottesville, Virginia. I organized the show for Eugene and opened for him with a Virginian version of my band Nicotina and the Legs. We played in the basement of a sushi restaurant called Tokio Rose. Eugene showed up with his Insect and Western Party trio, played a fantastic show (including some beautiflu Satie covers for deranged banjo), and then stayed over at my place and read comics all night long. If you don't know Eugene Chadbourne's music and you are a daring listener you owe it to yourself to discover one of the most important American guitarsts and composers of the last four decades. Here's his website: www.eugenechadbourne.com

DEAR HEARTS website

Also don't forget to check the website of my band DEAR HEARTS, the link is on the top right of this page. There's music, pics and a bunch of other stuff. We play in and around Brooklyn a lot so come check us out.I drew this in 2007(!) with a snazzy Sabre Kolinski brush.

Finnegan's Mare

Still behind with real work, the one that brings home Thai Chips and expensive Tuscan wines. So, in the meantime here's something form the vault.  This was done with a Pentel gel pen, while the grey tones are courtesy Prismacolor markers. Hope you enjoy.

No time to draw!

Sorry, not a lot of time to draw recently. It's bank season you know. And this is a portrait of my guys. Never a heist without them. The Dan Dynamo epilogue is already sketched out in nice little thumbnails, I only need time to pencil, ink and color it. See you very soon.
