Galaxy strut.

I used a very hard to manuver, very scratchy, Gillott nib for this.

The Elbows - DUMBO, NY 1975

The Elbows - DUMBO, NY 1975
Before James Chance, Suicide, Lydia Lunch. They also had a rhythm section called The Knees, but they rarely performed together. They disbanded in 1976 when the singer was run over by an ice cream truck on Atlantic Avenue.
Some say it was an accident, but we knew better. "My Love is Like a Tubular Bell" was their best song. Everyone was humming it in the summer of '75.

The Unchained Oysters

The Unchained Oysters live on the beach in Detroit, circa 1985.
"The Unchained Oysters was the toughest band when I was growing up in Detroit. Two girls, vocals and very loud electric guitar. Their most popular song was "Don't Lie to me Fat Fuck". During the summer we used to go see them play on the beach. The guitarist played an old battered Silvertone Stratotone model that sounded like she was skinning a cat. She was the meanest of the two. Gave me a black eye once for "making eyes at her girlfriend". She used to go around with a brick in her purse, that kind of girl. I don't know what happened to them and sometimes I wonder where they are now. I remember lying on the beach in Detroit and watching the sun set behind the refineries, the black smokestacks, the grey palm trees, and listening to The Unchained Oysters."

Fish Fright!

Experimenting with Manga Studio. Nice to be able to directly apply and modify screentones.

Greed!

Sorry, in Italian. The guy says: "Money, money, money, money! And then travels to mysterious eastern lands, murmuring alcoves, sweaty hugs, jet planes on fire, endless horizons!" and the lady says: "But what currency are we talking about exactly?".

Springtime is here.

There's definitely something in the air. Drawn with my trusty Papermate marker.

Perry White is on to you, Kal.

Watch out for that waistline, man of steel.
The bubbles read: I'll take only one. The maraschino one. I hope Perry won't notice.

Comic Book Magazines I'll never produce #123

Could be a smash hit, though. Drown very small with a Rotring ArtPen then Photoshop.

Watch out! (Moderate fun with a Rotring Art Pen)

I've had this Rotring ArtPen for years. But the nib is so damn fine. It's supposedly Tony Millionaire's main tool, though, go figure. Like T Model Ford once said, "It's not the guitar, kid".
